About Nathan Escoto

A graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, Nathan Escoto earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in Latin American and Latino Studies. With a background in the military, Nathan Escoto served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper with the elite 82nd Airborne Division and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. He is presently active as a Kitsbow apparel ambassador.

Family is an important part of Mr. Escoto’s life, and he and his wife have two children He home schools his children, with the older one attending a local high school and completing the regular curriculum online.

An avid martial arts competitor, Mr. Escoto trains and competes with Claudio França Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is also a mountain bike enthusiast who advocates for the sport and helps in creating trails throughout Santa Cruz County. His leadership responsibilities extend to roles as a certified ICP Ride Guide and Skills Instructor.

As an Army Specialist in the early 1990s, Nathan Escoto was quoted in a USA Today article that focused on his commitment to enabling the healing process of fellow wounded veterans.
